Travel and Transport

The nearest airport is the HILO airport, which is about 45 minutes from Kalani.

The other airport is KONA airport, which is about 3 hours away. Sometimes better airfare is available for KONA airport, so plan accordingly if you land in Kona.

Share a car rental from the airport or rent your own car. We can help with finding participants who will be landing around the same times to coordinate car pooling.

Having a car can also be useful for visiting the Kalapana area during the conference breaks—we do recommend car-pooling for obvious reasons.

Order a shuttle from the airport to Kalani: The cost is $65 one way.
